☞ CBS에서 87년9월부터 방송된 'Tour of Duty' (한국방영시 머나먼 정글)은 시청률 뿐 아니라 작품성 면에서도 큰 반향을 일으킨 걸작 시리즈로 손꼽힌다. 총 3시즌, 58부작으로 구성되었다. ‘머나먼 정글’은 MBC에서 1990년 처음 전파를 타 높은 시청률을 기록하며 많은 사랑을 받은 미국 드라마이다. 첫 방송때는 월요일 밤11시에 방송을 시작했지만 방송인기가 상승함에 따라 그 당시 황금시간대인 일요일 오후 6시로 방송을 옮길 정도로 인기가 높았다. 그리고 오프닝에 흘러나왔던 곡이 바로 이 노래 롤링스톤즈의 페인트 잇 블랙, 이후 이 노래는 베트남전을 상징하는 노래가 되었는데 대표적으로 영화 굿모닝 배트남 OST로도 쓰여졌다. 한국의 락 밴드들이 한번쯤은 연주를 해 보고 있는 락의 고전.
