[Introduce Singer] 아일랜드 출신 월드스타 그룹 보이존(Boyzone)

1990년대 전세계적인 인기를 누린 아일랜드 더블린 출신 보이 밴드. 웨스트라이프의 매니저로 잘 알려진 루이 월시에 의해 1993년 결성되었다. 1996년 1월 27일 데뷔앨범 《Said and Done》을 발매, 영국 음반 차트 1위를 기록했다. 1998년에 2집이 발매. 아일랜드와 영국에서 큰 성공을 거두었으며, 영국 싱글 차트에서 거둔 6장의 넘버원 싱글로 유럽과 아시아 지역에서 큰 인기를 누렸다. 1999년부터 히트곡 모음집 등 4장의 편집앨범을 발매했으며, 2000년 활동을 중단했다가 2008년 재결성되었다. 하지만 재결성 1년만에 메인 보컬이었던 스티븐 게이틀리이 2009년 10월 10일, 휴가로 머물던 마요르카 섬에서 급사해 수많은 팬들을 안타깝게 만들었다. 당시 동성애자였던 스티븐은 결혼상대인 ‘앤드루 콜스’와 함께 휴가 중이었다. 보이즌은 최근 2013년에 앨범《BZ20》을 발매해 활동중이다..
