락앤롤의 제왕 엘비스 프레슬리의 1954년 첫 싱글이며, 공식 데뷔곡이다. 블루스 가수 Arthur Crudup이 만들고 시카고에서 녹음을 해 1946년 9월 6일 발표한 노래를 리메이크한 것이다. 가사는 전통적인 블루스 풍이다. 1949년 3월에 That's All Right, Mama라는 제목으로도 녹음된적이 있다. 엘비스 버전이 가장 큰 성공을 거두었고 2010년 롤링 스톤지 선정 전세대 위대한 노래 500(500 Greatest Songs of All Time) 중 113위에 선정되었다.
