캐리 언더우드(Carrie Underwood) 미국 오클라호마 주 출신 컨트리 싱어송라이터. 아메리칸 아이돌 시즌 4 우승자, 사이먼 코웰에게서 어느 참가자보다 많은 앨범을 팔 것이라며 극찬. 첫 번째 앨범 Some Hearts는 7백만 부가 팔리고 2번째 앨범은 3백만부 가까이 팔리면서 두 장의 스튜디오 정규 앨범으로 미국에서 천 만장의 앨범을 팔았다. 이후 2009년 11월에 낸 3번째 앨범을 포함하여 미국에서 총 천백만장의 앨범 판매고를 올린다. 아메리칸 뮤직 어워드, 빌보드 뮤직 어워드, 그래미 상을 수상했다. 2008년에는 Grand Ole Opry 명예의 전당에 이름이 새겨졌으며, 2009년 4월에는 컨트리 음악에서 최고의 영예라 할 수 있는 "Entertainer of the Year"를 받았다.
