신비로운 목소리의 캐나다 출신 여성 싱어 송라이터 Sarah McLachlan은 1968년 캐다나 출생으로 4살 때부터 노래를 시작했고 대학을 다니던 중 1989년 [Touch]를 발표하면서 데뷔하게 된다. 앨범 수록곡 'Vox'를 히트시키며 캐나다에서 좋은 반응을 얻었다. 반면 미국에서는 아직 대중들의 인기를 얻지 못했고, 1997년 앨범 [Surfacing]이 큰성공을 거두게 되고 .'Building A Mystery', 'Sweet Surrender', 'Adia' 등의 동시다발적인 히트로 가볍게 밀리언 셀러에 올랐으며, 영화 '시티 오브 앤젤'에 삽입된 'Angel'도 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다. 한국에서도 특히 Angel'로 유명해졌다. 1999년 캐나다 훈장 오피서(OC), 2001년 브리티시컬럼비아 주 훈장(OBC)을 수여받았다. ▣ 상세 설명 위키백과 => http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_McLachlan
