1. 카를로스 산타나 (Carlos Augusto Alves Santana 1947년 7월 20일 ~ )  멕시코 출생, 미국 음악가, 라틴 록 기타리스트. 1960년대 말에서 1970년대 초에 그의 산타나 블루스 밴드를 통해 인기를 끌었다. 살라, 록, 블루스, 재즈가 융합된 그의 음악은, 고음에 클린 기타를 이용하는 경우가 많으며 팀발레나 콩가같은 라틴 악기들을 이용한다. 그의 음반은 전 세계에 걸쳐 총 8000만 장 넘게 팔려 나갔다.

2.밴드 산타나(Santana; 원래는 산타나 블루스 밴드, Santana Blues Band) 카를로스 산타나를 주축으로 구성된 밴드. 1960년대 이래로 라틴 록의 대표 주자의 자리에 서서 라틴 록의 세계화에 큰 공헌을 했다. 산타나는 1966년 샌 프란시스코에서 결성되었다. 처음 멤버는 톰 프레지어(기타), 마이크 카라벨로(퍼커션), 로드 하퍼 (드럼), 거스 로드리게스 (베이스 기타), 그랙 로일(키보드, 보컬)이었다. 이후 멤버는 상당히 자주 바뀌었으며, 1971년에서 1972년에는 카를로스 산타나와 그룹간의 갈등이 있기도 했다.
