알렉스 황(Alex Hwang), 존 정(John Chong), 다니엘 채(Daniel Chae), 조 전(Joe Chun), 샐리 강(Sally Kang), 그리고 제니퍼 임(Jennifer Rim)으로 이루어진 순수 한인밴드 런 리버 노스는 단 여섯곡의 데모만으로 입소문을 타던 중, 주머니 가벼운 인디 뮤지션으로 스튜디오 대신 차량에서 녹음을 하는 과정을 공개한 싱글 ‘Fight To Keep’의 동영상으로 유투브 바이럴 센세이션을 일으키며 미국사회의 주목을 받았고, 미국 유명 토크쇼 ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’에 게스트로 출연하게 되었다. 메인 보컬 알렉스 황이 만든 곡을 중심으로 모인 학생, 그리고 평범한 직장인이었던 그들은, 소속사도 예산도 없는 인디 뮤지션으로 공연을 하며 공연장에서 만난 그 지역 팬들의 집에서 신세를 지는 어려운 환경 속에서 음악에 대한 열정을 불태우며 밴드로서의 정체성을 확립해갔다. 그렇게 출발한 런 리버 노스는 닐 영이 데뷔 공연, 이글스 멤버들의 만남이 이루어지고, 엘튼 존과 라디오헤드의 미국 데뷔 공연을 치른 전설적인 공연장 Troubadour에서의 공연을 전석 매진시켰다.
