바베이도스 출신 미국 가수 리한나 8집 수록곡 3번째 싱글곡으로 카니예 웨스트가 프로듀싱했다. 1984년 브루스 스프링스틴의 Born in the U.S.A.에 영감을 받았다고 전한다. 뮤직비디오에는 애국(미국)적인 느낌이 담겨있는데, 미국 이민, 아폴로 11호, 9.11 테러, 버락 오마마 대통령과 마틴 루터 킹 목사의 죽음 등 미국사에 중요한 순간들이 담겨있다. 미국에 출생하지 않은 리한나는 미국이 이민자들의 나라라는 것을 강조하 싶었을 듯 싶다. 여기에는 흑인들이 미국이 백인들만의 나라가 아님을 보여주는 인권주의 시각도 있다고 생각해 본다.
