유럽 최고의 DJ Cloud와 Outfielders of love frozen을 통해 다시 태어난 “Aziatix”의 [Cold]

2011년 혜성처럼 등장한 Aziatix는 3월 18일 전 세계에 발매된 히트 싱글 [GO]를 통해 그 탄생을 세계에 알렸다. 그리고 2달뒤 출시된 그들의 첫 E.P [AZIATIX]를 통해 미국, 캐나다 등의 i-Tunes 앨범차트 5위를 비롯해 싸이월드 등 국내 주요 음원 포털의 팝차트 1위를 달성하며 신인으로서는 이례적이고 파괴력 있는 행보를 보여오며 큰 주목을 받아왔다.

“Aziatix”의 이러한 일련의 행보는 유럽의 유명 DJ “Cloud” 와 “Outfielders of love frozen”에게도 그냥 지나칠 수 없는 강렬한 인상을 주었고, 이들이 E.P 타이틀 곡인 “COLD” remix 작업을 제안하기에 이르렀다. 이를 프로듀서인 정재윤과 각 멤버들이 흔쾌히 허락하며, 지금 소개할 remix 앨범이 탄생하게 되었다.

1번 트랙은 유럽의 떠오르는 신예 DJ “Outfielders of love frozen”가 리믹스한 버전으로 원곡과는 다르게 전체적으로 풍부한 공간감을 줌으로서 몽환적인 느낌의 곡으로 재탄생 시켰다. 또한 보다 강력한 베이스 리듬과 전면에 배치된 신스 사운드를 통해 스트레이트한 느낌을 강조하였다.

2번 트랙은 이미 유럽 최고의 DJ로 자리잡은 “Cloud”가 리믹스한 버전으로, 이미 많은 이들이 알고 있듯이 오리엔탈 사운드에 강한 그의 색깔이 정확하게 묻어 있는 곡이다. 특히 오리엔탈 멜로디의 신스 리프를 덧입힘으로서 새로운 느낌의 “COLD”를 재탄생 시켰다. 또한 원곡보다 좀 더 간결한 느낌의 소스들을 통해 원곡이 갖고 있는 타이트한 사운드를 멜로디컬하게 버무렸다.
