마이클 볼튼 (Michael Bolton, 1953년 2월 26일 일~ ) 미국 출신
장르: 하드 락, 소프트 락 발라드, 블루 아이드 소올,
공식 데뷔 1975년 1집 앨범 'Michael Bolotin'
마이클 볼튼의 시작은 하드락, 메탈이었다. 이후 긴 무명의 시기를 거치면서 락과 소올 창법이 결합된 자신 만의 창법을 탄생시켰다. 흔히 블루 아이드 소올의 대명사로 마이클 볼튼을 언급한다.
하지만 마이클 볼튼 창법이라고 부르는 것이 적합하지 않을까
마이클 볼튼을 흉내 낼 수는 있어도 아직 그의 노래를 그 이상 부른 가수는 아직 없다.
