보이존(Boyzone) 공식 데뷔 데뷔1995년 1집 'Said And Done'
1990년대에 세계적인 인기를 누린 아일랜드 출신 보이 밴드, 2000년 해체된 뒤 2007년에 재결성 되었다. 영국 싱글차트에서 거둔 6장의 넘버원 싱글 (6장의 1위 싱글/6곡 1위)로 유럽과 아시아 지역에서 조금씩의 차이는 있으나 큰 인기를 누렸다.
이들은 2007년까지 1천 5백만 장 이상의 음반(싱글&앨범) 판매고를 올리고 있다.
"보이존"은 자니 로간(호주출신 아일랜드 가수)과 웨스트라이프의 매니저로 잘 알려진 루이스 월시(아일랜드 매니저)에 의해 1993년 결성되었다.
데뷔앨범 [Said and Done(1996년 1월 27일 영국 UK앨범차트 1위)]은 1995년에 발매되었고, 1996년과 1998년 2장의 스튜디오 앨범(정규앨범)을 연이어 발매했다. 1999년부터 4장의 편집앨범(히트곡 모음집 등)을 발매했으며 해체된 후 재결합 2007년 여름 The Silver Collection을 발표했다.
활동 중이던 2009년 10월 10일 보컬 스티븐 패트릭 데이비드 게이틀리 (Stephen Patrick David Gately)가 휴양지에서 갑작스럽게 사망했다. 당시 동성애자였던 스티븐은 결혼상대인 ‘앤드루 콜스’와 함께 휴가 중이었다.
