켈리 클락슨(Kelly Clarkson, 1982년 4월 24일 ~ )가수, 작곡가, 프로듀서 여배우.

미국 텍사스 출생, 2002년 폭스 텔레비전 아메리칸 아이돌 첫 시즌 우승 정식 데뷔.

데뷔앨범 Thankful (2003), 두 개의 그래미 상을 수상한 두번째 정규앨범 Breakaway (2004), 세번째 정규앨범 My December (2007), 그리고 최신작 All I Ever Wanted (2009) 까지 총 네 장의 정규앨범을 발매했다. 전세계에서 5천 6백만 장 이상의 음반을 판매. 아메리칸 아이돌 역사상 전세계에서 가장 많은 음반을 판매한 우승자이자 최초로 그래미상을 수상했으며 유일하게 비우승곡으로 빌보드 싱글차트 1위를 차지한 아티스트이다.

 

아메리칸 아이돌에서 우승한 직후 발매한 데뷔싱글 《A Moment Like This / Before Your Love》 는 2002년 10월 빌보드 핫 100 차트에서 52위로 데뷔한 바로 다음주 1위로 수직상승하며 역사상 가장 높은 상승과 함께 1위에 오른 곡으로 기록되었다.
